A physician since 1982, Doctor Cum Laude from the University of Valencia and one of the leading figures of naturopathic medicine in Spain. More than four decades practising in the same Valencia clinic with one guiding medical principle: treating people, not just diseases.
Biography
A life devoted to medicine that treats people
Born in Navajas (Castellón), Rafael Torres Collado graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Valencia in 1982. That same year he opened his practice on Avenida Primado Reig in Valencia, where he has practised without interruption to this day, and began his hospital career in the Intensive Care Unit of Arnau de Vilanova Hospital.
He soon steered his career towards a conviction that has stayed with him ever since: conventional medicine and clinically supported natural therapies do not compete — they complement each other. He trained in Homeopathy in Geneva for three years, in Acupuncture from 1981, and in 2001 earned his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Valencia with the distinction of Sobresaliente Cum Laude.
His work has not been confined to the clinic: he has devoted more than two decades to university teaching and to the professional organisation of integrative medicine in Spain, chairing the College Section of Acupuncturist, Homeopathic and Naturopathic Physicians of the Valencia Medical College since 1996 and holding the first Complementary Medicine board seat ever created in a Spanish medical college.

Fin d’Étude d’Homéopathie from the Association pour l’enseignement post-universitaire de l’Homéopathie, after three years of training.

The doctor who grows what he prescribes
Anyone who sits in consultation with Dr. Torres soon discovers that his medicine does not end at the office door. On his estate he tends organic walnut and olive trees, and he lives in a bioclimatic house he designed following the same principles he applies to his patients: that environment, nutrition and habits are part of the treatment.
That consistency between what he recommends and what he practises is, for many of his patients, his best calling card: medicine with sound judgement, close to the patient and lived first-hand.
